On My Bookshelf Series: Part 1
You can find out most things you want to know on the internet these days, but the ardent vinyl record collector always goes the extra mile. So books about vinyl are pretty irresistible to me, which is why I have a growing number of them on my bookshelf.
I love reading about my favourite albums and bands, and let’s face it, one of the big appeals of vinyl is the artistry of the covers. So my books reflect all of these aspects of LP record collecting.
Relaxing with a good book while listening to great music is a double pleasure. In this series, I’ll be sharing what’s in my growing book collection.
Illustrated History of the Rock Album Cover
Great format – this near album-cover-sized book has been made using good quality paper. The soft cover has centre cut-out over label in front. Love the large images and reading the truly informative stories behind them. This is the kind of coffee table book which people will pick up and won’t want to put down…you just want to keep flicking to the next page.
Both used and new copies can still be purchased:
